LegalZoom is founded as the first company to offer LLC formation and will services online.

2002-2008:

We expanded our offering into intellectual property, nonprofit formation, and real estate legal services.

2010:

We scaled our expertise with the launch of our independent attorney network, offering personalized legal advice.

2021:

LegalZoom became the first publicly traded company to own and operate a law firm (LegalZoom Legal Services) in the United States.

At LegalZoom, we’re committed to making a positive impact, and that starts from looking within. We believe in a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and put those beliefs into action. The majority of our executive team is made up of women and leaders from diverse backgrounds, and we support seven employee resource groups (ERGs) that foster connection and community.

Beyond our employee networks, we actively support volunteering, charitable donations, and working with underserved communities. In 2021 alone, we raised over $70,000 and contributed 500+ hours to causes close to our hearts. Through initiatives like our annual Impact Week and LegalZoom Gives platform, we ensure that giving back isn’t just a sporadic gesture, but a ritualized way in which we work.
